Quick update!

Well, four months have passed and I haven't posted anything until today (earlier post)when Maxwell's first word so inspired me!
So let's see what happened since Halloween?
Well, Thanksgiving was here at our house.. Nana and Granddad came to visit for a week. In early December Jonathan and I went to Italy for our 5 year anniversary trip for 10 days! what an amazing time!
Then came Christmas, which was nice, we spent most of break in the house bundled up with various colds and coughs!
Maxwell turned 4 on January 7th! That was fun, we had a small pizza party for him here at home!
Liam will be 3 in three weeks and I can't wait! 3 is sooo much better than 2's for my boys.. ugg terrible is an understatement! Three is so sweet!
Now March is here, 75 degree weather today, and that means lots and lots of time outside! time for me to get back into shape and prepare for an active summer with these two guys! Hopefully we will be in a house SOON!! fingers are crossed!

Spring Break starts tomorrow after school! Two weeks off! nothing planned but lots of picnics and park dates!

Maxwell's first written WORD!!!!

What more can I say? I was so thrilled! Four years old and he is just starting to be interested in writing the letters himself. He loves to look at them and talk about them when he sees them, but never had any interest in writing or trying to write anything other than his name! He was very excited at his accomplishment too!

Halloween Party at Preschool!

Maxwell's school has a ghost walk around the campus, and all the kids parade by the parents in their costumes! Even the teachers get dressed up. Maxwell is going as Buzz Lightyear, from the movie "Toy Story". He wasn't so sure about being all dressed up in his costume at first, but I think all in all he had a good time. After the walk was their Halloween Party in the class room. I was the Spooky story reader!

Pumpkin Patch

Last Sunday we went "down south" to a pumpkin patch about 45 miles south of Kansas City.
It was a warm, sunny and windy day in Kansas!


Liam loved playing in the corn with the trucks and tractors.....

Friday Scavenger hunt in the neighborhood....

The boys and I went out on a scavenger hunt of sorts. The boys armed with their pumpkins, and beverages, and I with my camera, walked the neighborhood, city market, and train bridge.


We saw lots of neat things along the way, they filled their buckets and even shared a snack along the way.. What a great afternoon..

Hannah, Brady, Maxwell and Liam always have a great time when they are together. We had a sleep over at their house last weekend, and the weather was perfect for lots of outdoor fun!
