Lindsay visits!

Lindsay comes home from Chicago and spends the day with the boys!
She has a wonderful bond with Maxwell and is building a great one with Liam too!
We miss you Lindsay!

Valentines 101

Maxwell painting valentines.
Today we painted for the first time. Made hand prints and hearts for Daddy.
Liam looked on with wonder! We got a couple of hand prints from him too though!

Social Saturday

Today was a great day for the boys. We drove out to see their cousins, Hannah and Brady, which is always a whirlwind of activity.
Later in the afternoon we went to a "pump it up" party, an indoor gym with lots of inflatables that you jump around in and go down huge slides... they had loads of fun.. unfortunately, we forgot our camera so you will have to take my word for it.

A nice thing about activities like that during the day.... it leads to early bedtime... which is always a good thing.....

Evacuation Day....

Today there was a chemical plant explosion a few miles East of our house and the huge plume of smoke was hanging over us. We evacuated. Voluntarily, just to be sure. We didn't know what the chemicals were that had ignited, so who knew what was in the air.
We returned home a few hours later, all is safe- at least that is what they are telling us. The fire will burn all night...

Maxwell and Liam had a great day today.. Lots of sleep... which is always a plus! Of course they decided to start the day at 5:45 AM. I did not agree to that, and reluctantly finally got them out of their cribs at 6:30. Still, way to early to be getting up!

They are too sweet.

Liam, or Leo, as he is referred to by the State Department, got his application for his passport off in the mail on Monday. We go to Mexico for a vacation in March, and with new travel requirements, we all have to have a passport. Luckily Maxwell already had one incase we needed to go to Iceland last year. (We didn't, unfortunately- Jonathan went alone)

Gymboree Day

Tuesdays we forego morning nap to make it to Gymboree, a play gym class. Maxwell and Liam and I all go and play for about an hour. Maxwell has been going for almost a year and is just now getting over his shyness and joins in with the group activities. He wanders away from my side and plays with the slides and tunnels on the other side of the room. Liam loves the music. He was made for group activities. He claps right along and loves to pat his hands on the mat in beat with the music
(or so he thinks).
Today the big excitement was on the drive to the class I saw three large Bald Eagles flying right along side me and the MissouriRiver, and then they swooped down and landed - I almost drove off the road looking at them! they were beautiful!

Liam is getting his two front teeth so everything goes in the mouth these days.
we have nick named him "snaggletooth'.
Maxwell continues to be camera shy.. but we mangae to get in a few shots!
